About the role#
BHE Pipeline Group is hiring an intern for the Technical Training Department for Summer 2027. This full-time, on-site role is based in Delmont, Pennsylvania. You will work with the training team to design and implement a training tool using Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence technologies to improve how our workforce learns operational procedures.
What you'll do#
- Digitize operational knowledge by converting existing procedures, tasks, and workflows into the new platform.
- Manage the application, including user access permissions, group structures, and content organization.
- Train and support users through onboarding and refresher sessions.
- Conduct field visits to capture location-specific procedures, validate content in live settings, and gather user feedback.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify additional workflows for digitization.
- Track adoption and platform improvements by monitoring usage metrics and surfacing challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year ABET accredited Engineering Bachelor's degree program or a Computer Science degree.
- Status as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior by Summer 2027 with a 2.5 GPA or higher.
- Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and an understanding of data integration.
- A desire to experiment with new ideas and adapt to feedback.
- Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
Location & details#
- Location: Delmont, PA.
- Duration: Minimum of 8 weeks, starting June 7, 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Transportation: You must have an independent source of transportation, as public transit in the area is limited.
- Housing: A one-time housing stipend may be available for candidates living 50 miles or more from the work location.
