Sound Designer - Internship Fall 2026

About the role#

Behaviour Interactive is seeking a Sound Design Intern for the Fall 2026 term to join the Audio team. You will contribute to the development of Blight: Survival by creating and implementing audio assets that enhance player immersion. This is a full-time, paid internship requiring a 37.5-hour work week for a duration of four months, beginning in September 2026.

What you'll do#

• Design and integrate high-quality audio assets in collaboration with the Blight: Survival Audio Team.
• Maintain audio assets for characters, objects, and environments, including the integration of sound events with animations.
• Utilize Wwise and Unreal to ensure seamless functionality and integration into gameplay.
• Record and edit various audio elements, including sound effects and voice-over assets.
• Test, validate, and refine in-game audio to deliver emotionally impactful player experiences.

What you'll need#

• Relevant studies in sound design.
• Excellent knowledge of sound techniques, including recording, mixing, integration, post-production, Foley, and SFX.
• Experience with adding sound to a visual medium.
• Proficiency with standard audio and game development tools, specifically Wwise and Unreal.
• A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating your sound design work.
• Eligibility to work full-time in Quebec, Canada, at the time of application.

Location & details#

• Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
• Work Modality: This position requires on-site attendance at the Montreal office three days per week.
• Commitment: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) for 4 months, starting September 2026.
