About the role#
Becker Morgan Group is looking for a Structural Intern to join our team in Salisbury. This role is for students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering who want hands-on experience with structural systems. You will work alongside licensed engineers on projects across various sectors.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the analysis and design of structural systems using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Create structural drawings and construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Run calculations to verify compliance with building codes and project specifications.
- Help with field inspections, including documenting existing structures and active construction sites.
- Research materials, methods, and industry trends to help with design development.
- Work with architects and other engineers to develop solutions for our clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering degree program.
- Basic understanding of structural engineering principles and building systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- A self-motivated approach and a desire to learn.
