About the role#
Baystate Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (Limited License Student) to join the Respiratory Care team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. This is a per diem role with flexible scheduling based on department needs. You will provide clinical care to a diverse patient population, ranging from infants to adults, while working alongside nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
What you'll do#
- Perform respiratory care procedures for patients across all age groups.
- Operate, maintain, and monitor specialized respiratory equipment.
- Collect arterial blood gas samples and perform EKG tracings.
- Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other emergency responses.
- Document patient assessments, therapies, and orders in an accurate and timely manner.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Current Massachusetts Limited License in Respiratory Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credential from The National Board for Respiratory Care.

- Pay range: $21.95 to $29.82 per hour.
