About the role#
Bay Beach Veterinary Emergency Hospital is a 24/7 emergency practice in Virginia Beach. We serve mostly companion animals along with some exotics. Our team includes 13 emergency veterinarians and a large staff of credentialed technicians. We provide a collaborative environment with access to in-house lab equipment, digital x-ray, and ultrasound services. Visiting specialists also provide echocardiograms and advanced ultrasound services.
What you'll do#
Externs participate in our emergency medicine clinical practice. You will engage in patient care and follow established medical protocols. A key part of the role is maintaining clear and helpful communication with our clients. You will work alongside our multi-doctor team to provide care for our patients.
What you'll need#
You must be currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary school pursuing a VMD or DVM degree.
Location & details#
This role is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The position is on-site and full-time. We offer a stipend to help cover travel and housing costs. This is a rolling term position.
