About the role#
We are looking for a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports our transportation department in the planning and design of various transportation facilities. You will work directly within a design team to gain practical experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Assist with plan reviews and plan preparation.
- Perform quantity computations and traffic analysis.
- Use CAD software for design tasks.
- Collect data and conduct field surveys.
- Participate in construction inspection activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
- Availability to start in May 2027.
- Ability to travel throughout our service area, which requires your own transportation.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Locations: Bannockburn, Chicago O’Hare, Crystal Lake, Naperville, or Mokena, Illinois.
- Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time internship.
