About the role#
Batchelor & Kimball is looking for a Mechanical Engineering student to join our team in Muskogee, Oklahoma. This internship offers the chance to work alongside senior engineering staff on mechanical contracting projects. You will assist our project management team with engineering tasks, participate in design activities, and observe field installations. This is a rolling, full-time, paid position based on-site.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design and field observation activities.
- Produce documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Help with takeoff and estimate reviews.
- Process submittals and RFIs.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor assistance.
- Attend meetings to track action items and notes.
- Visit job sites to interface with foremen and inspect for schedule, quality, and safety.
- Compile closeout documents.
- Prepare and deliver an end of assignment presentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program at an accredited US college or university.
- Interest in the MEP field.
- Intermediate experience with Access and Excel.
- Effective research, communication, and statistical analysis skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity, dedication, and enthusiasm for achieving results.
