About the role#
The Business Management Intern will assist with daily operations at Basalite Concrete Products. This role provides hands-on experience in the construction industry, with exposure to logistics, sales, management, and customer service. You will support our management team by helping to streamline processes and maintain project workflows.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management tasks, such as scheduling and tracking progress.
- Coordinate communications between internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Conduct market research to support business development.
- Track project timelines and deliverables.
- Provide administrative support to senior management, including data entry, document preparation, and filing.
- Collaborate with departments like HR and finance to keep operations running smoothly.
- Identify areas for efficiency and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently finished a degree in Business Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A strong interest in business operations and the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Placerville, California.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with an hourly rate of $18.00 to $20.00.
- The role is offered on a rolling basis.
