About the role#
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Student Waitstaff member for Wofford College. This is a full-time, paid position that operates on-site in Spartanburg, South Carolina. We are looking for someone to help provide quality service and maintain our food service standards.
What you'll do#
- Learn the menu and understand the ingredients in our dishes.
- Take orders accurately and serve customers.
- Suggest meals and beverages to guests.
- Answer questions about how food is prepared.
- Handle payments or operate the cash register.
- Assist with washing dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots.
- Meet service time standards.
- Set up, serve, and clean up serving areas.
- Communicate with your manager and other team members.
- Suggest additional items to guests.
What you'll need#
- One or more years of restaurant serving experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to make decisions.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule.
- A high standard of personal hygiene.
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration program.
