About the role#
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Student Food Service Worker at International House. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site in New York, NY.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items.
- Store food properly by following temperature and spoilage guidelines.
- Set up service stations with soups, salads, entrées, breads, condiments, and utensils.
- Serve guests and interact with them in dining and retail areas.
- Follow guest service procedures, including greeting guests and making eye contact.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations according to regulatory rules.
- Multitask and maintain a steady pace during your shift.
What you'll need#
- A strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with team members, managers, and guests.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.

- Compensation: $17.50 per hour
