About the role#
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a student Food Service Worker to join the team at Kenyon College. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Gambier, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items.
- Store food properly by following temperature requirements to prevent spoilage.
- Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils.
- Interact with guests in the dining, retail, and serving areas.
- Follow guest service procedures, including greeting customers.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations according to regulatory rules.
- Multitask and maintain a consistent pace during your shift.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- A strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with team members and other departments.
- Capacity to maintain professional relationships with supervisors, managers, customers, and vendors.
