About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Boston, Massachusetts. You will join our construction team to gain hands-on experience in the management of multi-family apartment communities. The role focuses on preconstruction support and provides exposure to the various roles required to complete large-scale projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and estimating of new construction projects by considering materials, product types, and schedules.
- Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Lead Engineers, and Architects.
- Manage real-time updates for changes, clarifications, directives, and RFIs.
- Coordinate with team members and suppliers to maintain project schedules.
- Participate in a Summer Learning Series led by construction leaders to learn about industry roles and processes.
- Learn about our Incident and Injury-Free Workplace safety culture, including relevant laws and regulations.
- Identify and reinforce best safety practices on site.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong math skills for comprehension and calculations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- A bias for action and a desire to see tasks through to completion.
- Attention to detail and a curiosity about the construction industry.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Prior construction-related work experience is helpful but not required.
