About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in San Diego, California. You will work on-site at our construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in the management of multi-family apartment communities. You will be exposed to various project stages, including site work, concrete, framing, mechanicals, and finishes.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Lead Engineers, and Architects to understand their roles in project success.
- Update project documentation, including changes, clarifications, directives, and RFIs, in real-time.
- Coordinate with team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep schedules efficient.
- Participate in a Summer Learning Series led by construction leaders to explore other areas of the business.
- Learn about our Incident and Injury-Free Workplace safety culture, including relevant laws and regulations, while reinforcing best safety practices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong math comprehension and calculation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- A bias for action and a strong attention to detail.
- Curiosity about the construction industry and a desire to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations.
