About the role#
The Graduate Assistant for Social Media Operations and Analytics supports the Marketing, Communications, and Design team at Associated Students Inc., CSUF. You will assist in the development and execution of marketing and promotional initiatives across the organization. This role involves overseeing social media efforts, managing content calendars, and serving as a key liaison between the marketing team and various campus departments.
What you'll do#
- Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms.
- Maintain and update monthly and semester-long content calendars.
- Monitor platform performance and compile regular analytics reports.
- Track engagement trends, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
- Support accessibility reviews and ensure quality control for all digital content.
- Organize digital assets, captions, and campaign documentation.
- Monitor comments, messages, and general engagement activity.
- Conduct benchmarking and trend research related to student engagement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on special projects and campaign rollouts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program at California State University Fullerton in communications, marketing, public relations, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Strong writing and editing skills for content development and proofing.
- Ability to organize and analyze metrics to track campaign performance.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- A minimum availability of 20 hours per week.
- Preferred experience includes tools like Buffer, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Canva, Meta Business Suite, or Google Analytics.
- Previous experience leading or supervising teams is preferred.
- You must provide a link to samples of your work for interview consideration.
