About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in art practice, museum education, and public programming. You will work on projects while receiving mentorship and participating in weekly seminars with museum professionals. The program includes training on curriculum design and best practices in museum education. You will also visit other cultural institutions in the Bay Area.
What you'll do#
- Design collection tours for K-12 audiences.
- Develop and offer artmaking workshops for adults.
- Research, select, and host Asian and Asian American luminaries at public programs.
- Create curricular resources and assets for digital learning platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote programs.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-granting program.
- You must be available in person on Sundays from 10AM to 5PM.
- A commitment to accessibility, social justice, and museum equity is preferred.
- Majors in Art, History, Communications, or Marketing are relevant to this role.

- This role is based in San Francisco, California.
- The internship runs from September 21, 2026, through January 18, 2027.
- This is a part-time, 16-week position requiring 20 hours per week.
- The position is on-site.
