About the role#
The Equipment Engineering Co-Op manages, organizes, and maintains engineering documentation and records. You will support the Facility Engineering and Automation teams by ensuring technical documentation is accurate and accessible. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.
What you'll do#
- Create work instructions for approving drawing updates and securing master drawing files.
- Update facility drawings and P&IDs based on As-Built redlines.
- Find manuals, cut sheets, and technical information for equipment and subcomponents.
- Contact external sources to track down missing documentation.
- Organize collected information into equipment files for the maintenance team.
- Work with the engineering team to ensure documentation packages match the current system configuration.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma and progress toward a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with reading engineering drawings like P&IDs and electrical diagrams.
- Ability to identify subcomponents such as transmitters, switches, and actuators.
- Preferred: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, experience with AutoCAD, and experience managing equipment quality certificates, test results, or bills of materials.
Location & details#
- Location: Verona, Wisconsin.
- Term: Winter 2027 through Summer 2027 (January through August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
- Employment: Full-time.
