About the role#
We are hiring an Engineering Co-op to join our team in Toronto. You will support various engineering projects, including testing pumps, motors, and drives. You will also assist with verification, create reports, and participate in technical investigations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in testing centrifugal pumps, ranging from small circulators to large hydraulic pumps.
- Review and study the DV Plan to understand specific test requirements.
- Research and evaluate components, instrumentation, and new technologies.
- Prepare and review technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Assist with project follow-ups, including evaluations, testing sessions, and technical meetings.
- Prepare samples and testing equipment for lab sessions.
- Assist in CAD model generation or drawing preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a University or College program in Electrical, Mechanical, or Hardware Engineering.
- Strong interest in rotating equipment, motor systems, drives, and fluid-flow technologies.
- Experience with electromechanical or automated systems.
- Basic understanding of programming, soldering, circuit analysis, and testing tools.
- Excellent communication skills that are open, clear, and professional.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and adapt to changing needs.
- A self-starter mindset with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and experience with SolidWorks CAD are assets.
