About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations for ASU-Board Operations. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in food preparation, safety standards, and customer service within a campus environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers, ensuring satisfaction and anticipating guest needs.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Store food properly according to established standards.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
