About the role#
The Student Worker Lead for ASU-Specialty Coffee supports the daily operations of the food service department. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2026 term, based on-site in Tempe, Arizona. This role requires students who are currently enrolled at the Aramark location.
What you'll do#
- Supervise, train, and mentor food service staff to promote teamwork and efficiency.
- Direct daily activities and manage work schedules to ensure food is prepared and served according to menu specifications.
- Maintain a sanitary department in strict accordance with health and safety codes.
- Oversee weekly inventory and prepare orders to ensure accurate production.
- Manage equipment maintenance logs and perform preventative maintenance checks.
- Coordinate with staff regarding daily catering events to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist with cashier duties and fill in for absent employees as needed.
- Resolve interpersonal situations and maintain emotional control under stress.
What you'll need#
- Current student status at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Completion of a sanitation course either before or during the first year of the role.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and knowledge of operating a cost-effective program.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
- Availability to work occasional night and weekend catered events.
