About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations for ASU Board Operations. The role is designed to help students gain experience in food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service while working on campus.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Properly store food according to established standards.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment.
- Open to students from majors including Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Communications.
