About the role#
This student worker position involves supporting food service and catering operations on campus. You will assist with food preparation, maintain service standards, and interact directly with customers.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Store food products correctly according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations, including prep tables and service equipment.
- Serve customers, replenish food items, and ensure products are stocked at appropriate levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent customer service to guests and co-workers.
- Adhere to company safety and sanitation policies and ensure the security of company assets.
- Note that physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. You may be required to wear a uniform or personal protective equipment.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated guest service skills.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Open to students from various fields, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, Logistics, and Agriculture.
