About the role#
This position provides students with an opportunity to gain experience in food service and catering operations. You will support daily kitchen and service activities, focusing on food preparation, safety, and customer interaction.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Store food products correctly according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables, service counters, and steam tables.
- Serve customers, replenish food items, and ensure products are stocked at appropriate levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor while assisting guests and co-workers.
- Adhere to safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or possess a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment.
