About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations on the ASU-Downtown campus. This is a paid, full-time role available during the Summer 2026 term. The position requires on-site work and may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Store food items in accordance with established safety standards.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenish and stock food items to appropriate levels.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills and a positive demeanor.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- This role is open to students majoring in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Nutrition.
