About the role#
This position provides students with an opportunity to gain experience in food service and catering operations. The role focuses on food preparation, safety compliance, and customer service within a campus setting.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations such as prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Store food products in accordance with established safety standards.
- Serve customers, replenish food items, and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation protocols, while ensuring the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program, such as Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Ability to obtain or possess a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
