About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Student Cashier internship for Summer 2026. The role is based on-site at the College of Charleston. We welcome students from Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Public Health, Nursing, and Psychology programs.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly and set up workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating their needs.
- Replenish food items to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Maintain a positive demeanor toward guests, clients, and co-workers.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or possess a food safety certification.
- Demonstrated guest service skills.
- Availability to wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment.
