About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Catering Student Worker position for Summer 2026. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Human Resources, or Nutrition. The position is based on-site in Charleston, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Properly store food according to established standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables and service equipment.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenish food items to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent customer service to guests and co-workers.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Must possess or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands, which may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Ability to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment as required.
