About the role#
Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. offers a summer internship program for students to gain practical experience at a water and wastewater equipment manufacturer. Interns participate in real projects, contribute to business goals, and develop skills relevant to their field of study. This is a full-time, paid, on-site program based in Loves Park, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned projects within your selected department.
- Meet with your manager and an in-department mentor on a routine basis to discuss progress.
- Make critical decisions and manage your own work.
- Assist with design requests, costing, testing, or documentation depending on your department.
- Summarize your contributions and growth in a written or verbal format at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant major, including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or Human Resources.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks for Mechanical Engineering roles.
- Working knowledge of PLC and HMI programming software for Electrical Engineering roles.
- Current networking knowledge, familiarity with Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Exchange for Information Services roles.
- Access to a vehicle for the duration of the term for Marketing and Research and Development roles.
- Prior coursework in wastewater systems is strongly encouraged for Applications Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Loves Park, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) during normal business hours.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
