About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will work on a solar construction site to gain hands-on experience in construction management. This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship during Summer 2027. You will be expected to relocate to the project site for the duration of the program. This position is eligible for overtime and per diem.
What you'll do#
- Support the execution of an assigned scope for project construction.
- Assist with project tasks from preconstruction through final acceptance.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
- Deliver a companywide presentation at the end of the internship to share your experience and what you learned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university as a Sophomore, Junior, or rising Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or construction management/science.
- An interest in a career in construction or project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Excel.
- Strong mathematical, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.
- Effective coordination, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to walk active job sites while following safety requirements.
- Basic exposure to technical and administrative project management phases is preferred.
- Basic ability to read and understand IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work is preferred.

This role is on-site at one of our project locations: Coggon, Iowa; Hillsdale, Indiana; Dublin, Texas; Lee, Illinois; Lake Village, Arkansas; or Olivet, Michigan.
