About the role#
Apercen Partners LLC is looking for students for an eight week internship during the summer of 2028. This program provides a preview of the daily responsibilities of a full-time tax associate. You will work on tax compliance and consulting solutions for clients including corporate executives and entrepreneurs. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review various tax returns, including individual, partnership, fiduciary, and gift tax filings.
- Create tax work papers, extensions, and estimates.
- Research tax issues and assist in developing solutions for complex consulting projects.
- Communicate with tax agencies as needed.
- Complete assigned engagement tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
- Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality standards for all client matters.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics with a concentration in Accounting.
- You expect to graduate by June 2028 with the necessary units to become a licensed CPA.
- You have a history of academic and extracurricular success.
- You are self-motivated and pay close attention to detail.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You can manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a busy environment.
Location & details#
This internship is located on-site in Austin, Texas; Folsom, California; Palo Alto, California; Pasadena, California; Portland, Oregon; or San Francisco, California. The pay rate is $36 to $38 per hour, depending on factors such as education, experience, and geography. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
