About the role#
Our 10-week Summer Internship Program offers hands-on experience in safeguarding systems, data, and technology infrastructure. You will join the Cybersecurity team to support proactive monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. This role provides exposure to secure architecture design and maintenance while collaborating across Technology, Risk, and business departments to support organizational security goals.
What you'll do#
- Support the Cybersecurity team with monitoring systems and reviewing security alerts.
- Assist with identifying, documenting, and escalating potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
- Participate in incident response activities and maintain accurate incident documentation.
- Support security assessments, testing, and remediation tracking.
- Assist with maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Technology, Risk, and business teams on cybersecurity initiatives.
- Conduct research on emerging threats, security trends, and industry best practices.
- Help promote cybersecurity awareness and support compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete additional cybersecurity projects and assignments.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity, technology risk, and information security.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networks, operating systems, or cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and manage priorities effectively.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous internship, academic project, or coursework related to cybersecurity is preferred.
