About the role#
As a Systems Integration Engineering Intern, you will support the development of next-generation wearable platforms and technologies. This role provides hands-on experience in hardware testing, embedded systems, and system-level design while you contribute to healthcare solutions.
What you'll do#
- Perform benchtop hardware characterization tests on wearable devices.
- Assist in designing and testing printed circuit boards.
- Help debug embedded designs, including communication buses and sensor interfaces.
- Support the exploration and de-risking of new product features.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand system-level integration.
- Contribute to technical documentation and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience using basic electronics test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Understanding of embedded systems concepts such as microcontrollers and communication protocols.
- Basic PCB design skills, including schematic capture and layout.
- Electronics lab skills, including soldering.
- Basic programming experience in C or Python.
- Familiarity with analog and mixed-signal circuit design.

- Locations: Durham, North Carolina or Wilmington, Massachusetts.
- Modality: On-site.
- Status: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: Paid position with an expected wage range of $22 to $41 per hour.
- Travel: Required 10% of the time.
