About the role#
As an Embedded Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience developing software and firmware for systems that power real-world applications. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and debug code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable embedded solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop, test, and debug embedded software and firmware for hardware-based systems.
- Support the integration of software and hardware components to ensure system performance.
- Build automation tools, test frameworks, and software utilities.
- Participate in system validation, data collection, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Document software designs, test results, and technical findings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems, software development, and computer engineering principles.
- Familiarity with C, C++, or Python.
- Understanding of software debugging, testing, and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems, RTOS, or embedded Linux is helpful.
- Exposure to software build systems, scripting, or automation tools.
- Knowledge of digital signal processing, communication protocols, or embedded hardware concepts.
