About the role#
As a Project Management Intern within the Power Portfolio group, you will gain hands-on experience in the rail industry by supporting complex, transformational projects. Working under the supervision of project and program managers, you will assist in the delivery of projects while learning foundational project management principles and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Collect, consolidate, and cleanse project performance data from multiple sources.
- Support project teams with status reporting, documentation, and process controls to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
- Create and maintain essential project artifacts, including organization charts, project schedules, budgets, and logs.
- Assist in the development and review of project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project logistics, including meetings, events, and the distribution of project materials.
- Perform ongoing project budget tracking and schedule monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited degree program in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies (sophomore status or higher).
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to team members.
