About the role#
Amperesand is building the software foundation for modern power infrastructure. We are developing a proprietary ERP and manufacturing operations platform to support our commercialized Solid State Transformer systems. As a Software Intern, you will join our engineering team to build production-facing features across the full stack. You will work directly with engineers and product owners to improve our internal tools, ship new capabilities, and integrate AI-enabled features into our manufacturing workflow.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain full stack features for our ERP and manufacturing platform using Go, TypeScript, and React.
- Design and implement new AI-enabled features to assist internal and external stakeholders.
- Improve system visibility by supporting observability, metrics, and dashboarding efforts.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to increase release reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define APIs and data contracts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by internal and external users.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in regular code reviews.
- Document architectural decisions and project processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Go for backend development.
- Experience with TypeScript and React.
- Exposure to AI/LLM concepts or applied AI tooling.
- Understanding of REST APIs and client-server architecture.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work on-site in Reno, Nevada.
Preferred experience includes:
- Observability or metrics tooling like Prometheus or Grafana.
- CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Manufacturing or industrial software systems like ERP or MES.
- Automated testing frameworks.
- AWS cloud services.
- Prior project experience supporting external stakeholders or interest in energy systems and power electronics.
