About the role#
AMH is hiring interns for a full-time, rolling program. You will work directly with business leaders to learn about the real estate investment, property management, and homebuilding industries. This role provides an inside look at our business model and how specific departments contribute to our overall operations. You will participate in cross-functional projects that address real business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Learn the functions of your assigned department, which may include areas like construction, marketing, finance, or IT.
- Collaborate with other interns and leaders on various projects.
- Follow all company policies, training programs, and legal mandates.
- Support our safety program by following the Injury and Illness Prevention Program requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- Maintain high ethical and professional standards in all tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant university degree program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
- Strong organizational and reporting abilities.
- Ability to handle detailed work accurately and meet deadlines on multiple tasks.
- Capacity to work as a collaborative team member.
- A self-directed approach to professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
- Ability to pass a background screening.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Calabasas, California, or Las Vegas, Nevada.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
