About the role#
The IT Co-op supports the internal IT team with daily operations, system maintenance, and project tasks at American Battery Solutions. You will work closely with mentors to gain hands-on experience while assisting with the technical needs of the facility. This role requires reliable attendance and a professional approach when interacting with team members.
What you'll do#
- Set up and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Provide direct support for end-user equipment.
- Assist with the setup and tear down of equipment for events, marketing, and manager meetings.
- Manage and maintain the IT systems inventory.
- Triage and assist with the installation and repair of audio, telephone, security, server, and network systems.
- Create and maintain basic network documentation.
- Monitor IT tickets and systems.
- Report task progress regularly and follow all company policies and federal regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to fulfill 24 credit hours per calendar year.
- Availability to work 15 to 29 hours per week.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at once.
- Capacity to lift up to 30 pounds and move through industrial or office environments.
