Operations and Maintenance Technical Intern

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026. You will work with the Operations and Maintenance team at Neogenyx Fuels, LLC to support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems for various renewable energy projects, including biomass, landfill gas to energy, and combined heat and power systems.

What you'll do#

• Assist the renewable energy plant operations team with data collection, plant troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Respond to and troubleshoot issues identified in reports and plant operations.
• Coordinate with Plant Operators, compliance specialists, and safety teams regarding operational issues or requests.
• Update daily log information and record-keeping systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel to plant sites to support on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering (or Engineering Technology).
• Understanding of flow processes, operational knowledge, and power plant systems.
• Experience with SCADA systems.
• Understanding of electrical processes and general PLC electrical components.
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams and experience with general maintenance tools and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license issued by your state of residence.
