Generalist Support Intern

About the role#

The Generalist Support Intern will join the Asset Sustainability Group to provide broad support across reporting, research, and data management. This is a remote, office-based role that involves occasional travel to customer sites. The position is full-time and paid, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.

What you'll do#

• Provide basic reporting support for compliance and sustainability-related activities.
• Assist with sustainability compliance research and background analysis.
• Conduct AI-assisted research regarding clients, buildings, and sustainability topics.
• Perform data entry, organization, and quality review within internal software modules.
• Assist with Energy Star Portfolio Manager data population and utility bill synchronization.
• Prepare tables, charts, and data visualizations for client reports.
• Compile and organize facility documentation, including asset inventories, floorplans, and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct site visits to customer facilities to capture digital imagery, such as LiDAR scans.
• Support project managers with scheduling, deliverable tracking, and project coordination.

What you'll need#

• Coursework or demonstrated interest in fields such as Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Data Science, Architecture, Sociology, Public Health, Communications, or Political Science.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize information accurately.
• Ability to learn new software applications and AI-enabled research tools quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Work Modality: Remote.
• Travel: Up to 20% travel to customer facilities within the U.S. and Canada may be required.
