Research and Development Intern

About the role#

The Research and Development (R&D) Intern will support the engineering team in developing, testing, and documenting industrial security technologies. This role provides hands-on experience in product innovation, focusing on projects related to radio systems, power systems, networking, and integration technologies. You will work directly with the R&D team to gain exposure to real-world product development and testing processes.

What you'll do#

• Assist engineers in assembling and testing prototypes and systems.
• Participate in performance testing, reliability checks, and failure analysis of components.
• Document test procedures, results, and modifications in technical formats.
• Record and organize test data to help interpret results and identify improvements.
• Create and update technical documentation, including test reports, build instructions, and part specifications.
• Support troubleshooting and debugging efforts across hardware and software components.
• Maintain lab equipment, prototype inventory, and testing tools.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• A strong passion for engineering and product innovation.
• Hands-on experience in product development or testing environments.
• Ability to document technical findings and communicate complex information clearly.
• A quick learning aptitude and strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Status: Part-time, paid internship.
• Compensation: $15.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience and skillset.
