This 10-week internship focuses on experimenting with modern AI tools, including LLMs and OCR, to streamline the process of moving from blank templates to populated first drafts for report authors. Working as part of a small intern team, you will focus on a specific line of business and document type to develop a working prototype and provide recommendations for future investment. This project is designed to be shaped by the team's strengths and interests.
What you'll do#
- Translate ambiguous problems into actionable plans that can be delivered within 10 weeks.
- Conduct interviews with report authors and stakeholders to understand actual workflows.
- Manage the team's project plan, including weekly goals, progress tracking, and identifying key learnings.
- Maintain team alignment by writing status notes, decision logs, and defining project milestones.
- Guide engineering interns to ensure focus remains on core problems.
- Co-draft end-of-summer recommendations based on project outcomes and findings.
What you'll need#
- Current high school seniors through rising college juniors.
- A serious interest in computer science or software engineering.
- Curiosity, a habit of building things, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Experience building or fixing software, such as self-taught projects or personal code development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, as this is the primary language for industry regulatory documentation and cross-office communication.
