This 10-week internship focuses on experimenting with modern AI tooling, including LLMs and OCR, to streamline the process of creating report drafts. Working as part of a small intern team, you will focus on a specific line of business and document type to move authors from blank templates to populated first drafts. You will work directly with report authors to understand their current workflows and deliver a working prototype alongside a recommendation on future investment.
What you'll do#
- Interview report authors to compare documented workflows with real-world practices.
- Map the current authoring process and identify primary areas of friction.
- Define the criteria for a high-quality, trustworthy AI-generated first draft.
- Sketch human-AI interaction models to determine how reviewers interact with drafted content.
- Collaborate closely with engineering interns to ensure technical outputs align with user needs.
- Help shape the final project recommendation from the perspective of the end user.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a high school senior through a rising college junior.
- Academic background in Graphic Design, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, or Business Administration.
- Strong interest in user research and the practical application of tools.
- Ability to identify gaps between stated processes and actual behavior.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Curiosity about people and their workflows.
