About the role#
Alta Environmental and Infrastructure is seeking Engineering Interns to join our teams in Phoenix and Tucson. This role offers the chance to work alongside licensed professionals on a variety of civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to infrastructure work across Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing technical reports.
- Work on a team or independently on less complex projects.
- Perform field sampling or testing, which requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Collect and classify soil samples for geotechnical investigations.
- Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
- Adhere to established safety standards and practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college or a recent bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to drive to project sites.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
