    About the role#

    Allient is hiring multiple Engineering Interns to join the team in Oshkosh. This position offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced engineers. You will work under the guidance of senior staff to support daily engineering operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and revise part specifications, update SolidWorks drawings, and manage bill of materials changes.
    • Use design software and proprietary methods to analyze transformer construction.
    • Work with production floor staff and lab personnel to learn testing procedures and quality requirements.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and production improvements in new and existing designs.
    • Prepare engineering packets that include customer drawings, industry standards, and producibility considerations.
    • Support mass-update projects for older product series, including revisions to drawings, kit sheets, and process sheets.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year college program in Computer, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
    • Between 0 and 4 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or physics.
    • An interest in gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
    • The ability to work well with engineering, production, and lab teams.

    • Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
    • This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
    • The role follows a rolling term.
