About the role#
Allen Lund Company offers a paid internship in La Cañada, California. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling start date. You will gain hands-on experience in transportation brokerage and logistics operations. Successful interns may be considered for full-time positions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with load tracking, tracing, and app compliance.
- Build loads, set up carriers, and schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
- Update active load information for shippers and carriers.
- Communicate with carriers to inquire about lanes, equipment types, and quantities.
- Contact insurance companies for certificates and update carrier references.
- Ensure proper documentation is sent to Carrier Resources.
- Answer phones, distribute calls to brokers, and support the accounting department.
- Handle general office duties while maintaining company standards.
- Gain exposure to the booking process for transportation loads.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong customer service orientation and work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
