About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Co-op to join our team in Johns Creek, Georgia, for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will work on process upgrades and performance improvements for the DSMFLEX contact lens platform. You will gain industry experience while contributing to projects that impact our production environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify, design, and implement improvements to machines and processes for contact lens production.
- Execute protocols and provide continuous improvement support for production initiatives.
- Prepare documentation for procedures, training, work instructions, validations, ES, and DOE.
- Assist with the installation and qualification of new or retrofit equipment in the DSMFLEX area.
- Contribute to program updates for senior-level stakeholders.
- Participate in improving communication metrics and monitor feedback to track results.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university for at least one semester before and after the co-op.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or a related Engineering major.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour work week throughout the term.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with CAD, 3D printing, and SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and people skills for working in cross-functional teams.
- High level of diligence and the ability to work independently.
- Authorization to work in the US on a permanent basis or via F1 visa with CPT.
