About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern at Albertsons Companies, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work directly with patients and pharmacy teams to support health care services. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a professional pharmacy program who want to build skills in patient care and community pharmacy practice.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Manage the prescription filling process while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Support company initiatives designed to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by California law.
- The ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules based on business needs.
