About the role#
This is a part-time internship for students pursuing a career in pharmacy. You will work on-site under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role involves direct patient interaction and participation in clinical services.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consult with customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services such as immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Help implement pharmacy initiatives to support store profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by Texas regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changes in your schedule and work priorities.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with others.
