About the role#
AKRF is looking for a Water Resources Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work from our Pittsburgh office. This role involves supporting project planning and design for green stormwater management and climate resiliency initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Help plan, design, and develop water resources projects.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for green stormwater infrastructure.
- Perform site assessments, stormwater BMP inspections, and collect field data.
- Prepare reports and documentation to support the permitting process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited STEM bachelor or graduate program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple projects at once.
- Initiative to take on new challenges and ownership of your work.
- A dependable approach to your daily responsibilities.
