About the role#
AFB International is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing operations team in Aurora, Missouri. This summer role focuses on process improvement, operational excellence, and supporting engineering projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze production and process data to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analyses and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives related to process efficiency and quality.
- Participate in Kaizen events and various continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools is a plus.
