About the role#
We are looking for an engineering student to join our Growth and Capture team. This role focuses on the business side of space, supporting the team that finds, shapes, and wins new work. You will learn how a mission moves from a customer problem to a signed contract. You will need a technical background to understand our engineering work and explain its value to customers. This position is open to students in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain customer and opportunity records to track pursuits.
- Support Opportunity Leads in moving projects from first contact through proposal and award.
- Qualify opportunities using our structured assessment method.
- Research customers, programs, budgets, and competitors to inform our strategy.
- Prepare materials for conferences and customer meetings.
- Assist with proposal and contract packages, including compliance checks, schedules, and reviews.
- Translate technical discussions into clear notes and follow-up actions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or near completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
- Demonstrated interest in business.
- Strong writing skills and comfort speaking with customers and senior engineers.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Availability to work on-site at our Westminster, Colorado headquarters.
